About Marelisa Fabrega (@Marelisa)
Hi, thank you for clicking on the URL in my Twitter profile. I’ve created this page to give you a little bit of background on who I am and what my blog “Abundance Blog at Marelisa Online” is all about.
I’m Marelisa Fábrega, “Chief Wow Officer” of Marelisa Online. You can read more about me in my “About” page. A while back Darren Rowse of Problogger fame asked his readers to describe their blogs in 140 characters, and here’s what I submitted about my blog:
Simplify your life by identifying authentic desires, and be more productive by doing less while achieving more, and by embracing creativity.
You’ll find lots of articles on creativity here, including everything from specific creativity techniques–such as “Mind Maps”–to encouragement to continue performing your “Sacred Dance”. I’ve even written an ebook on creativity titled “How to Be More Creative – A Handbook for Alchemists”.
In addition, I’ve written articles on productivity galore, such as the following:
- Six Things to Do When Life Throws You A Curveball
- Zen Capitalism: Randy Komisar
- Productivity Tip: Think Small
Happiness is another item that’s big on my “to write about list”, and these four happiness articles were popular with my readers:
- The Buddhist Approach to Happiness
- Happiness Tip: Practice Random Acts of Kindness
- Harvard University’s Most Popular Course: Positive Psychology
- Happiness Tips From the Dalai Lama
If the topics above interest you–and really, who’s not interested in creativity, productivity, and happiness–please consider subscribing to “Abundance Blog at Marelisa Online” by RSS or by e-mail. Also, you can follow me on Twitter.

Dear marelisa
Greetings from down under
Would you know of any examples of lateral thinking (turning a no win situation to a win situation) similar to the following, even if they were fictional.
1 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”
11 She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
Had Jesus said yes to their question he would have been in trouble with the Roman authorities. If he said no he would have been against the law of Moses. So it was a lose-lose situation which Jesus turned into a big win.
I emailed a few experts on lateral thinking, but they do not want to answer a peasant like me. I would be grateful if you can help.
Thank you for your time
