114 Ways to Celebrate Life: Free Ebook

ways to celebrate lifeI’ve written several posts related to the theme of “how to celebrate life”, and I’ve decided to take the best items from each of these posts and turn them into an ebook.  The ebook is free, a lagniappe (I love that word :-) ).

Simply click on the link below and download your free copy of the ebook, “114 Ways to Celebrate Life”:

114 Ways to Celebrate Life – ebook

Here are some of the things you’ll find inside:

  • Have afternoon tea “alfresco”. Find a small coffee shop with tables set up outside; or pack a picnic basket with iced tea, chicken salad from the deli, scones, and a warm, crusty loaf of French bread-and head out to the park.
  • Plant pots of brightly colored flowers; you can choose to plant camellias, violets, and geraniums. For fragrant blossoms plant jasmines.
  • Eat berries fresh from the farmers’ market.
  • Visit antique stores and flea markets until you find the perfect brass knocker for your front door, one that makes you smile every time you’re about to enter your home.

I’m all about celebrating life. My favorite is 28 “Renew a relationship with someone you’ve lost touch with”. Facebook has been a Godsend for me. I’ve found so many high school friends that I’ve forgotten about. Our reconnection has given me hours of joy.

This is a great book of creative outlets to refresh the soul. I know I’ll be coming back to it when I need a little pick-me-up.

Marelisa, this is wonderful. Thank you for not only the book, but what is inside. We all need reinforcing and reconnecting with our own selves. I will send it out to as many friends as I can.
Again, thank you.
All your blogs are terrific and I do read each and every one.
Love and kisses

Hi Mare,
Just yesterday, my family and I were out competing in a trail run – and it poured rain the whole time – and it was so much fun! It really did feel like a celebration of life! Everyone was completely soaked, and the small group of people that showed up to compete were so supportive of everyone out there – including an 83 year old woman to completed it (to the crowds huge cheers!!).

Thanks so much for this, and for creating this in one spot – it’s wonderful!!

Hi Marelisa .. great idea for an ebook .. I had to look up Lagniappe .. and it’s a wonderful word .. going back to Mark Twain, and Louisiana French word ..

I’ll be back to your books .. I’m looking forward to reading properly again, but first things first ..

Your posts are really super .. and Lance’s comment about the pouring rain and being soaked, coming back home saturated, warming up and a large cup of tea .. perhaps with scones, or crumpets or a new cake .. delicious .. but such fun as we remember the raindrops dripping off us ..

A love lagniappe on its way to you!

Hi Hilary: Isn’t lagniappe a great word? Like when you buy a book and the bookstore throws in a beautiful bookmark, or you buy a cappuccino and the café adds a cookie on the side. I loved Lance’s comment too. :-)

Hi Lance: That sounds like so much fun! I went for a jog in the rain yesterday, and I enjoyed it more than my usual runs. :-)
