Hi Bob: I think it's fabulous that you've given so much time and care to your craft. Good luck with your next endeavor (just start counting until you hit 10,000 :-) ).

According to this theory, I must be the best piano tuner in the world. I have been tuning on average 4 pianos 5 days a week for 45 years (about 1.5 hrs per tuning) . I guess I have broken some kind of record. I am 65 years old and have just started a new business to compliment my main profession.

Good luck to all.

[...] First off, I read a lot of internets. I frequent dozens of online blogs, websites, etc. that detail the business end and sometimes I get caught up in the number crunching and PR work and forget that the most important thing is the music. You MUST continue to practice, no matter what. There’s an important concept being thrown around, that of the 10,000 hours. Here’s a great blog post to get you introduced: 10,000 Hours.
